TODT Collaborative. Why TODT? TODT is an anonymous acronym, as well as the Gothic German word for not 'dead', but very dead. It is a negative theology - an annihilation of everything that makes reference to the primal mythologies of our modern culture. TODT is a Catalan word for everything. And its concept of Collaboration is a testament to an enduring art practice that includes. anonymity, play and the common interests of a spirited collusion.
As artists, we consider the reference to the Negative as an aesthetic challenge. Our work focuses on the interpretive emblems of positive positions and their opposite effects - of signs, symbols and events that reduce and revise what once was whole, to parts, fragments, and accessory. A primitive affect that includes and incites the traditional conditions of Art as a rival speculation. Still, an affect in communal sympathy with the ideological aspirations of Art.

TODT, a collaboration of changeable categories... a forty- plus year accumulation of topics, images and objects - sometimes peevish and discourteous - sometimes mindful and ideal... an art of attentiveness and ambivalence... the sculptural product of an anonymous brand.
An American Art, whose foraging continues to foreshadow the mythic, moral and material conflicts between our historical inheritance and contemporary cultures.
